On the Ateneo Loyola Schools scale an A is 4.0, B+ is 3.5, B is 3.0, C+ is 2.5, C is 2.0, D is 1.0, and F is 0.0.
The Ateneo de Manila Loyola Schools use a 4.0 scale: A = 4.0, B+ = 3.5, B = 3.0, C+ = 2.5, C = 2.0, D = 1.0, and F = 0.0. There is no A+ and no A− — A is the highest grade, worth 4.0 quality points.
On the Loyola Schools scale, Dean's List recognition generally requires a semestral QPI of at least 3.35 with no grade below C for the semester. First Honors covers roughly 3.70–4.00 and Second Honors roughly 3.35–3.69. Confirm the current cut-offs and unit requirements with your dean's office.
It depends on the type. A W — withdrawal WITHOUT permission — counts as 0.0 and drags your QPI down exactly like an F. A WP — withdrawal WITH permission — is excluded entirely: it counts for neither quality points nor units. Incompletes (INC) and audited (AUD) courses are also excluded.
Yes. At the Ateneo, PATHFIT (PE) and NSTP are letter-graded and count toward your QPI. Only INTACT is taken on a satisfactory / unsatisfactory (S/U) basis, and S/U courses are excluded from the QPI computation.
